Macbeth In English

Five questions about Macbeth.
1. Valiant soldier or violent schemer at the beginning?

He was a valiant soldier at the beginning because he saved Scotland from the bad things like the war against the King of Norway.

2.Why is he obsessed with killing Banquo ( oh yeah Fleance to)

He is obsessed with murdering Banquo and Fleance because he knows that Banquo is starting to be very suspicious about what has happened so far in the play.  He wanted to kill Fleance so then Banquo's children won't become king and their wouldn't be any future kings in banquo's family.

3. He visits the witches a second time. why? does he react?

He visits them a second time because he wants to find out more prophecies about the future. His reaction would be him being happy about none of women born would harm him until the part about Burnham Wood coming up against Dunsinane Castle and he wanted more information about the of th visions he saw.

4.Explain his decision to murder Lady Macduff & children (increasingly erratic & illogical behaviour)

The witches have told Macbeth to “beware Macduff,” so he thinks Macduff poses a threat to his throne. Also, Macduff has gone to England to help Malcolm (Duncan’s son) rally an army to return to Scotland and defeat Macbeth. In an attempt to get rid of this threat, Macbeth hires murderers to kill Macduff’s family, thinking that this will cause Macduff to submit out of fear and grief.

5.Is he nothing more than a “dead butcher” or do we the audience feel differently about him at the end?

The people in the audience has different opinions about Macbeth my one would be that he is nothing but a dead butcher who killed innocent people for what he wanted for himself and how he killed his own wife for a very harsh reason but in the end what's done is done.

Appears to be loyal, patriotic, noble:

Loyal: The service and the loyalty I owe in doing it pays itself.
Patriotic: O nation miserable with an untitled tyrant, bloody-sceptered.

The Salvation Army Winter Appeal

How does the text construct a version of reality?

This text can be constructed as a reality because the person/ child looks cold. The objects around her or him gives you a sign that she or he is living in poverty. I know that there are families out there in the world that are struggling because of poverty. One other reason could be they don't have enough money to provide them with the things they need.

What is the text about? How do we know?

This text is about the Salvation Army Winter Appeal. It is also about helping other families keep warm in the winter and having food. We know this by the objects around her and the colour scheme for example half of the Paige has bright and warm colours and the other side has dark and cold colours like black, white and grey. This in encouraging people to donate money to help people in need.

Mime

                         MIME
What is the definition of mime?
The definition is: The theatrical technique of suggesting action, character, or emotion without words, only using gesture, Expression and movement.

SILENT MOVIES
In silent movies they don't use sound.
Here are two questions about silent movies.

How do actors in communicate with the audience?
When a critic examines the silent films of Charles Chaplin a question that arises is whether the comedy he portrayed is a mockery of political and current issues, or a means to bring laughter to viewers. Silent films generated different emotions and thoughts since a spectator was simply watching actions rather than hearing an explanation through words. Information was cleverly construed this way and however the critic analysed the information presented was an individual responsibility. In fact, Charles Chaplin once said, "..it is not the reality that matters in a film but what the imagination can make of if," to a young critic.
What skills do they need to use?
He was best known for his character, the naive and loveable Little Tramp. The Little Tramp, a well meaning man in a raggedy suit with cane, always found himself wobbling into awkward situations and miraculously wobbling away. More than any other figure, it is this kind-hearted character that we associate with the time before the talkies.
