Charcoal Work

Working through charcoal has been fun but messy, so far I have done two pieces of charcoal work I also used soft pastels or chalk to put more colour into the artworks.

For this specific piece I have used a pacific flower. The colours I have used for this piece of work is red, yellow and orange to make the fiery part of the artwork and I used different blues and light and dark green to create a ocean like colour. 

This represents fire and water, it is as if fire and water going at each others throats. My understanding of the two colours is your sad and depressing moments and your angry and frustration moments and to me the flower represents the thing that keeps you calm, no matter what like the thing that keeps you moving and

    I love that you have written up some meaning behind your work. it is thought out and shows me that you are taking care in colour choice and pattern based decisions. Im looking forward to seeing the bigger piece posted next.
