Our Practise of Snoopy's Chrisstmas

In guitar we have been learning Snoopy's christmas for Festival of the Arts the challenging part of learning this song on the guitar is switching to C,D and G the easy parts for me were probably the verses of the song I really do enjoy this song except it might be a bit to complex for beginners.Back to talking about my practise I couldn't really get much done because my computer kept on freezing and I had to keep restarting.

Guitar songs what I found challenging

In Guitar through the past weeks we have been learning five songs they are called Cotton Fields, He Honore, Hoki Mai, Ten Guitars and Wimoweh the challenging thing about those songs are either change from A to G and from D to E but all of the songs had all of the chords these are the pictures of the lyrics
and chords of the songs. But I can't find the lyrics/chords for Hoki mai
and He honore sorry also can't find chords/lyrics to ten guitars.

What Did I learn in guitar

Today we did the song the lion  is sleeping tonight the tricky part was switching from D to G. and then on wednesday we learnt how to play E then Mrs Gibson told us to learn E,D,A the challenging part of learning E was putting my fingers in the right place. Then I tried playing 10 Guitars with E instead of G and it simply turned out great again it was hard switching to E from A. I feel like guitar has really helped me with my learning for festival of the arts.

Quail Island Questions

1.What does the name Otamahua mean? Where does the name come from?.
The place to gather sea bird eggs.

The island was given a name by Captain Mein Smith when he saw native quail there in 1842.

3. How big is the Island?
     81 hecters
4. How was the Island created?
Even though the island was surrounded by the waters of lyttelton  harbour, in summer Quail island's 80 ha became as dry as the rest of canterbury.... they built a small boat to ferry livestock to gather materials to the island and established a small cottage on the northern slopes, looking across to the port.
5.What wildlife is present on the island- Native/introduced.
1.Shiney

6. Mahinga kai, food gathering was an important activity for maori. What food did they gather from Otamahua?.
The term "Mahinga Kai" was used in the crown's settlement offer to refer generally to many of the cultural aspects of the redress package. Mahinga kai properly refers to Ngai Tahu interests in traditional food and other natural resources and places where those resources are obtained.

7.  How have introduced species [animals/birds/insects] damaged the environment?

Gymnastics

In gymnastics was quite different probably because it was the last gymnastics session for term 3. So we had 30 minutes and each 10 minutes we had to do a different activity there was the beam, the trampoline, the spring thingy I forgot the name of and the floor where you do cart wheels and last but not least the bars and the parallel bars I didn't do much because I was very exhausted and I couldn't really get myself to do anything but next time I will try harder next time when I am able

Tuesday's P.E

On Tuesday I have experienced that at hornby high school year 8 do gymnastics I was quite shocked when I got to the Gym and the Teacher told me to go and join a group so I did. The people in my group are very nice and I don't remember all their names but i still enjoyed it the first thing we had to do was cartwheels I couldn't really do it but the next one was the beam. I did do some thing but i didn't really enjoy it , but the thing I kind of enjoyed was the bars I was basically 1/2 way there that was the most fun day ever.
