Water Filtering Experiment

Title: Water Filtering Experiment

Introduction:
I am doing this experiment to clean dirty from mud. The goal of the experiment is to find the best way to get the clean water using the gear provided.

Equipment:

  • Conical Flask
  • Funnel
  •  Paper Towels
  • Two Plastic Cups
  • A Cut Out Of The Bottom Of a Water Bottle
  • Tripod
  • Beaker
  • Water bottle with the bottom cut out

METHOD:

  1. Get all the materials
  2. set up equipment
     a) Cut the bottom of a large or small water bottle
     b) Get a bit of A thin or thick material and cover the bottom of the water bottle.
      c) tie it very tight with some rope and then push the middle of the material down a bit but not to much
       d) get the beaker and place under the bottle but before that put the bottle on a tripod then put the beaker underneath the tripod
       e) if you got clear water and it spills on the table you need to use the paper towels to clean it up.
    Conclusions/observations:
At first it didn't work very well but once we started changing the design we started making a lot of good progress. The things we changed was instead of the paper towels we used the material and we emptied the other paper towels that was with the cotton balls and then put it in the rubbish. I really liked the experiment because you had to think and the teach didn't have to tell you what to
do.  https://www.google.co.nz/search?biw=1366&bih=654&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=--2VWrK0JMOn8AWUtZywCA&q=water+filtering+systems+under+ground&oq=water+filtering+systems+under+ground&gs_l=psy-ab.3...10377.17199.0.19141.13.13.0.0.0.0.447.3764.2-7j3j2.12.0....0...1c.1.64.psy-ab..1.1.445...0j0i30k1j0i24k1.0.AD2CajhalTA&safe=active&ssui=on#imgrc=vAY7wRKv46R3zM:

Awesome write up of your experiment, really impressed with the detail you included and that you made good use of the hand out. Good to hear you enjoyed the experiment and very interesting that you were able to improve the design so much on your second try.

I like how you detailed everything very well and put everything in line.
