Mu Torere
In class Mr Rzoska our Tech teacher told us our new project and the drawing process of the Mu Torere a mu torere is a Maori board game they played before the British came to New Zealand. In the drawing process of the mu torere is the problem (brief) the n we have to do the research about the mu torere then after that we have to come up with four concepts about it. Next we have to have the final design of the Mu torere after that we have to do a formal drawing (Plan) about the sizes, how much wood you will need to make it with then it is the mock up and after that we make the mu torere we should make sure that we evaluate every step of the way of the making of the mu torere. Here is a picture of a Mu Torere.

Raising Seeds
Aim: To Look at the different growing conditions and how these affect the growth of seeds
Method:
We worked in groups of 3-4 students
Potting mix was put into the cups.
The cups were planted with radish seeds.
Each cup had a different growing conditions:
Cup 1 - normal
Cup 2 - clear cellophane
Cup 3 - over watered
Cup 4 - Under watered or green cellophane
The plants grew in their cups for 10 days before they were measured.

Findings:
Plant growing condition
|
Height after 10 days (mm)
|
Normal
| 35mm |
Green cellophane
| 60mm |
Clear cellophane
| 30mm |
Over water
| 0mm |
The normal seedling was planted in normal potting mix and grew to a height of 35mm.
The green cellophane seedling was planted in normal potting mix, covered in green cellophane and watered. It grew to a height of 60mm. The clear cellophane seedling was planted in normal potting mix and grew to a height of 30mm. The over watered seedling was planted in normal potting mix, the water could not drain out the bottom of the pot and it grew to a height of 0mm.
Conclusion:
From the pictures and evidence we can conclude that:
The seedling height was:
1.35
2.0
3.60
4.30
The best growing conditions were:
1. Green cellophane it grew to 60mm.
2.The too much water did not grow at all.
3.The normal planted radish grew to 35mm.
4.The clear plastic cellophane grew to 30mm.
therefore the seedling with Green cellophane conditions grew to a height of 60mm.

Traditional Tales
In English we have been learning Traditional tales such as Aladdin, Ali Baba, Sina and the Eel, The Turtle and the Shark etc.
The categories for the traditional tales are Greek, Maori, Fairy tales, Arabian nights, Fables, Folk tales, non greek, Non maorietc. My first tale the first cateagorie I chose was a non Maori and non Greek tale so I decided to learn more about my culture so I did Samoan Myths and Legends. The first tale I did was about Sina and the Eel and the next one I did was about the Turtle and the Shark. One person in my class asked m if I could help hi with his Norse Mythology project it was called the Yggdrasil it was the world tree that holds the different worlds.
If you want to know more about the Yggdrasil go Joel Gillespie
