The topic we have been learning about in Health is Hauora which in meaning is Wellbeing the part of well being we have been learning about is Taha Wairua (spiritual wellbeing). Last week we did a couple of activities like how Miss Aitken told us to draw a symbol that makes your identity or you could write something in the middle, next she made us write or draw ten or more things around the word or picture in the middle of the paper and write things that make you around it. She gave us some five sticky notes each and we each wrote the five most important things that make ourselves. then on Wednesday we played two games about team work one of them was a group quiz and the group with the most points got a lollipop The next game we played the group with four marks won the game, we hand to make things out of play dough the last thing we made with play dough was a multi relationship we made a Lesbian, Gay and straight relationship and putted a heart in the middle of the two people the people in my group were Jay and Rheanna.

English2019
- What am I learning?
In English we are learning about Critical Literacy and telling what is fake and what is real and how to read hidden messages. We have also been learning about
Currant - Date of your source, is it new or old.
Reliability/ Relevance - Is this source fair? Does it give references.
Authority - Is the author informed? Where was the piece published.
Purpose/ Point of view - Is it a factor or opinion? Does the author have an agenda.
How does this show my learning?
This shows my learning by learning the skills of Critical Literacy. So then in the future or now in the present I can tell weather a news article is fake or real. I could also use this by knowing the hidden messages in a ad. This also shows my learning by knowing how to read hidden messages and telling when something is fake or real.
What am I wondering?
I am Wondering that in the future will companies start telling the truth about the product of what they are selling and trying to get to people.
Points for Critical Literacy Learning

Introduction English 2019
In English our teacher Mr Aitken told us to do a self introduction about ourselves so then the whole class can get to know each other and so the teacher can get to know you. First of all he shared to the whole class a slide which had a lot of slides each slide had a check list. On the checklist it had a lot of things to check of such like your goals for this year, your favourite things, your name and age, where you want travel one day, what you want to be remembered at Hornby for etc. Here is what I have done.
Social Studies 2019
So far we have been learning about Human Rights. We have also been learning about a Pakistani boy. The most interesting thing is that over 1 million children are child slaves. This is a link to Human Rights by the children being slaves and their rights being broken. One child slave escaped and his name is Iqbal.
